Use Codex from the roadmap step that needs it
SoloMap does not replace Codex. It gives Codex a bounded project step, visible execution path, and durable local handoff.
Before you start
Install and authenticate Codex CLI according to its provider documentation. Confirm that the codex command works in a normal terminal.
Select Codex in SoloMap
Open SoloMap settings and choose codex. If your executable uses another name or path, enter that custom executable and run the built-in dependency check.
Run a bounded task
Open the active roadmap step, state the exact outcome, attach only relevant files when needed, choose a model if available, and start the run in VS Code’s terminal.
Verify and hand off
Review changed files and the requested checks. Record what was verified, what remains risky, and the next action before moving the roadmap step.
