Terms of Service

Welcome to SoloMap! These Terms of Service constitute a legal agreement between you and SoloMap (provided by SZLK) regarding your download, installation, and use of SoloMap. Please review the terms below:

1. License Grant and Usage Scope

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to use the software:

• SoloMap Free: The core local-first roadmap and task tracking capabilities are free for both personal and commercial projects.
• SoloMap Pro: Pro licenses are single-user subscriptions. A single Pro subscription allows you to authorize up to 5 personal devices owned and operated by you (such as your main workstation and laptops).

2. Third-Party AI API & Tokens (Bring Your Own API Key)

SoloMap is designed to integrate with the local AI agent CLIs you already use (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code, Cline, etc.). Any API tokens, service charges, or billing incurred by executing these agents (via providers like OpenAI, Anthropic, DeepSeek, etc.) are your sole responsibility. SoloMap is not liable for third-party AI service costs.

3. Local Data and User Backup Responsibility

Because SoloMap operates locally on your machine, we do not sync or back up your roadmaps to any cloud server. You are solely responsible for maintaining backups of your codebase and the .solopreneur directory (e.g., via Git version control). We are not liable for any data loss, corruption, or project downtime resulting from hardware failure, manual deletion, or system updates.

4. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the proprietary features of the extension.
• Distribute, resell, or share your Pro subscription or SZLK Passport access codes with others.
• Use the software in violation of local laws, export controls, or international sanctions.

5. Limitation of Liability and Disclaimers

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SOLOMAP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT ANY WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOST PROFITS, LOSS OF PROPRIETARY BUSINESS DATA, OR CODE CORRUPTION ARISING OUT OF YOUR USE OF THE SOFTWARE.

6. Governing Law and Disputes

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the service provider's jurisdiction. Any dispute arising out of this agreement shall be settled through amicable negotiation first, failing which it shall be referred to the courts of competent jurisdiction.
